ABOUT DISNEY’S FROZEN
Disney’s Frozen brings the beloved animated film to life on stage in a thrilling and heartwarming musical adventure. With a powerful message of love, acceptance, and the strength of family, Frozen follows the journey of two royal sisters, Elsa and Anna, as they discover the power of being true to themselves.
Set in the mythical kingdom of Arendelle, the story features dazzling magical effects, memorable characters, and iconic songs including “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, “Love Is an Open Door,” and the show-stopping “Let It Go.”
Based on the Oscar-winning film and expanded with new Broadway songs, Frozen is a celebration of friendship, bravery, and the magic that lives inside us all.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
ELSA – (Female-presenting, strong singer, range: F3–D5)
The elder princess of Arendelle, Elsa is poised, regal, and reserved, but struggles to conceal the magical secret of her icy powers. As she grows, so does her inner turmoil. Must carry powerful emotional depth. "Let It Go" is her defining moment.
ANNA – (Female-presenting, strong singer, range: A3–E5)
The younger princess of Arendelle. Optimistic, energetic, awkward, and fearless, Anna dreams of adventure and connection. She is the emotional heart of the show and must have great comedic timing as well as heartfelt sincerity.
KRISTOFF – (Male-presenting, baritone/tenor, range: G2–A3)
A rugged ice harvester with a sarcastic side and a tender heart. He talks to his reindeer (Sven) and is a bit of a loner. Strong comedic instincts and vocal presence needed.
OLAF – (Any gender, high tenor or soprano)
A lovable, childlike snowman created by Elsa’s magic. Funny, innocent, and curious about the world. Requires strong comedic timing, physicality, and vocal character work.
HANS – (Male-presenting, tenor/baritone)
The seemingly charming prince from the Southern Isles who is not what he seems. Polished and confident with a hidden dark side. Must play both sincerity and villainy convincingly.
SVEN – (Any gender, physical role, non-singing or light vocal)
A loyal reindeer and Kristoff’s best friend. Played with full-body physicality, often as a puppet or costume role. Requires strong movement skills and emotional expression without dialogue.
DUKE OF WESELTON – (Male-presenting, character tenor)
A pompous visiting dignitary determined to exploit Arendelle. Comedic villain. Requires character acting and exaggerated physicality.
