26/27 Call for Production Teams

Duluth Playhouse is currently accepting applicants of all skill levels for the following positions for our 2026-2027 season:

• Directors
• Choreographers
• Music Directors
• Scenic Design
• Lighting Design
• Sound Design
• Costume Design
• Properties Master
• Projection Design
• Stage Management
• Assistant Stage Management 
• Crew (Shift Crew, Spotlight Operator, Fly Operator, Sound Assistant, etc.)

‍ABOUT THE PLAYHOUSE: ‍

The mission of Duluth Playhouse is to create opportunities in theatrical arts that educate, entertain, and engage the region. Founded in 1914, the Playhouse is among the oldest theatres in the nation. The Playhouse produces 13 productions annually across its Main Stage, Youth Theatre, and Underground seasons.

Directors, Music Directors, Designers, Choreographers & Stage Managers:

  • Resume or CV with references 
  • Samples of work or professional website, if applicable
  • A list of available shows and positions for which you’d like to be considered
• Directors, Music Directors, and Stage Managers must be available for production meetings, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and all performances.
• Designers must be available for production meetings and technical rehearsals.
• Choreographers must be available for select rehearsals and technical rehearsals. 
  

Crew:

• Apply by email to apply@duluthplayhouse.org with the following items: 
  
  • A list of available shows and positions for which you’d like to be considered 
  • No previous experience is necessary! We are willing to train all crew positions. If you have related experience, please provide a brief summary.  
  • Crew must be available for technical rehearsals and all performances
    

Successful applicants will be contacted to arrange an interview or to discuss a potential position. All positions are paid. Stipends vary by position and commitment.
