Timothy John EP Release Show

July 31, 2014 @ 7:00pm
Admission |  $5 at the door, and you receive a free EP
Breanne Marie & The Front Porch Sinners with special guests Silverback Colony

The Timothy John EP is made up of 5 songs. It's a tribute to Breanne's late brother Timothy who was killed in a car accident in 2009 by local business owner Dan Doughtery. Three years later, after several court cases and mediation, the family was allowed to bury Tim's remains and have visits with his son. Four years after he passed the family settled on a wrongful death lawsuit and Breanne used a portion of her money to record, mix and master this 5 track EP. Breanne explained "It's been an emotional roller coaster and it took way too long for our family to get closure. Along the way I wrote these songs for me, for my family and for anyone who has suffered loss."

Joining Breanne Marie on stage is her full band The Front Porch Sinners. They start at 7pm. The band is going to play the songs from the EP as well as some newer material Breanne hopes to record in the near future. At 8:00 pm, Silverback Colony will take the stage. Silverback Colony is a group of alt-country rockers, led by Gabriel Douglas of the 4onthefloor, specializing in covers as well as originals. "I invited Gabe and the guys to play with us because I'm a fan. Sometimes when you're a musician the only way you get to hear a band that you like is too book a show with them! Otherwise, you're always playing shows on the same nights at different places."

It tells the story of "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Schmidt, a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation, which has left her with just "an angry inch."
