The mission of The Underground is to serve the community as a meeting place for culture and conversation, for arts and education, offering diverse programming to foster the artistic and intellectual life of Northern Minnesota.

The Underground is general admission. There is no visual obstruction, this is a 150 seat theatre that can be in a thrust or in the round.

Blake Thomas brings his original music to the airwaves in this new radio variety show, described as "CHEERS meets A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION meets AUSTIN CITY LIMITS."  Duluth mayor Don Ness is a regular guest on the show along with a VIP local celebrity that is yet to be determined.

Kirov By Night

Kirov By Night, Duluth's number one late night comedy show returns for an eighth episode at The Underground!

Kirov By Night is the area's premiere late night comedy show. It combines the formats of The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live to create something truly original. Following a five episode run at UW-Superior, Kirov By Night is now entertaining audiences at Duluth's Underground. Complete with interviews, original comedy sketches, a house band and live performances, Kirov By Night is the region's hottest comedy program.

The rock story of an "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Schmidt, a fourth-wall smashing East German rock 'n' roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation, which has left her with just "an angry inch." This outrageous and unexpectedly hilarious story is dazzlingly performed by Hedwig in the form of a rock gig/stand-up comedy routine backed by the hard-rocking band "The Angry Inch."
