TYA

The Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) series aims to delight all audiences, but particularly the Pre-K age group. Shows are interactive and silly, keeping kids and families enthralled and involved. Each show is no more than an hour, and is performed by a troupe of professional actors, who not only act in the shows, but build the set and costumes, find the props, run the house, and more! It’s a perfect addition any afternoon out with the family.

A great series for the whole family! Get ready for an exciting TYA season in 2016 as this professional adult ensemble brings Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach to the Playhouse main stage. The month of May features the world premiere of Some Sneaky Sheep and Other Tales, a one-of-a-kind original stage tale based on the beloved books of Duluth author Chris Monroe. Wrapping up in July, get ready for more adventure with the audience-interactive Imaginarium: Mad Science!

DATES: July 9-24, 2016

Sat @ 1pm & 4pm | Sun @ 2pm

Performed in The Underground

You’ve been invited to join the Secret Agency of Science Society (S.A.S.S.). At this inaugural meeting many important things must be established including who will be president. And the only way to decide is through a series of scientific challenges, experiments and consultations with imaginary friends.

This high energy and interactive show will leave the kids itching to be a mad scientist.
